Carl Jenkinson,
not even half the player that Demel is. Little pace, no tricks, no skill, no brain. Can't get passed a player, worst West Ham player on the park today.
Put him in the bracket of Moncur & Green.
Must be so many more....
Send him back to Arsenal, slowed play down, backwards passing and clueless or just timid going forward.

The OP is a bit harsh on Jenkinson after one game although a lot of Gooners I know reckon he's not all that. In any case he's decent back up to Demel. At least we won't have to fall back on Jordan Spence, thank fuck.

I think demel is very under rated, but whoever you think is best, surely the big bonus is that we have 2 very good right backs. And not JOB and Faubert

Id start Demel everyday of week. better defensively and does get forward well too. Jenkinson looks like when he starts to run he completely forgets the ball

Where you watching Villa or something? Jenko played some really clever passes. Yeah, he may have been a tad dodgy but he still kept his nerve and played well.

I think we have to give him time. His first priority has to be to help keep a clean sheet. If he had been caught up field a couple of times, and we had conceded, he would have got a slating on here. I am sure his confidence will grow, as long as Fordstar does not take against him.

Jenkinson has legs. Demel doesn't.
Both have different attributes.
I don't think there's a clear winner as if it's head to head at the moment at least.
I suspect Demel come the end of the season/ next season will even slower and unable to maintain premiership standards.

Although I don't agree with half the player comment I do feel Demel is the better player, that isn't judging him on his time here as that would be stupid. Overall from his performances I've seen at Arsenal as well.
Demel doesn't get the credit he deserves and is very underated by our fans. He gets forward well and is solid at the back, very strong as well he rarely loses a duel.
One thing Jenkinson has is time on his hands which Demel doesn't. I would still play Demel until the time comes where if we sign Jenkinson on a permanent would be a good replacement.

I think this is a bit harsh on Jenkinson. I'm not his biggest fan as I think he's a bit suspect defensively, but i thought he had a decent game yesterday, albeit against a poor side.
He did lose the ball a bit cheaply when going forward a couple of times, but I think this may have been a lack of familiarity with time-mates, and on one occasion in the first half he seemed to have too much thinking time as they were so lax at pressing.
The full back who frustrated me yesterday was Cresswell. I like him and think he will be a great player for us, but yesterday I lost count of the amount of times he lost the ball by lumping it long instead of using the short option (Downing made himself free for the short option on a lot of these occasions)

Jenkinson did ok but if nowhere near the attacking full back we need to replicate Cresswell on the other side. Too many times the ball went backwards or sideways, not once did he attack their full back.
Now he aint at the gooners he won't be anywhere near the England squad, hope he progresses but on yesterdays showing he aint the answer

Really not sure what the OP has been watching.
Demel is stronger,
Compared to my limited viewing of Jenkinson, Demel has better positional sense.
Demel will surprise you every once in a while with some decent skill to get a cross off.
That being said, he much slower both in term of quickness and out and out pace. Jenkinson had some decent runs up the wing yesterday to show that off.
I guess bright side is that Jenkinson should in theory be able to learn the things he struggles with. You can't teach pace.
